Getting Started With Energy Work

A crystal energy work grid featuring citrine and amethyst that helped me apply this energy in my personal space, with some “light hedge magick” on the outside to help keep away presences that I didn’t appreciate. (After several years of spiritual development, I find it easy to move the energy some would call Vril through these crystals and plant matter.)

For those that don’t know me, I wanted to introduce something about myself in my psychic life. About six years ago, I decided I wanted to try a spiritual awakening with a right-hand path practice, like at the altar with the included image. I was curious about ritual magic, and any agnostic phase in my past simply ended when I noticed memories from when I was younger that had a psycho-spiritual explanation.

While spirit didn’t appear to me right away when I began right-hand path summoning and meditation practices together, after several months of applying myself to meditation practice, I began to have an experience of spirit. For myself, I was curious about spiritual systems outside the traditional mainstream here in the United States, where I am from, because some of the people I grew up around from mainstream spiritual systems made me uncomfortable.

I began to have direct experience of Ra after those months, where he appeared to me and said, “I am Ra,” to me. There was something of a year of learning and discovery for me about spirit, and I was grateful to experience the Great Scarab that year.

Several years later, after gaining experience in working directly with spirit, I began to experience other spiritual systems in ways I have heard that those from the Theosophical Society have done, when I noticed a Taoist meditation and applied myself to it for several months.

Once I learned more about the way of Tao, I started to wonder about moving around the energy Taoist practitioners call chi. You might find that Taoist presences are attracted into your spirit work space by some traditional Chinese music, and some of them might help you begin to influence chi around you if you want to do this in a Taoist way.

So, it wasn’t a waste of time to learn about the way of Tao, and try this kind of psychic influencing of my space that I began to wonder about with chi. If a chi master doesn’t appear to you right away, don’t give up. If a Taoist spirit appears to you, it’s worth asking them about chi, regardless of whether you’ve attracted a Taoist master.

So, it wasn’t a waste of time at all to learn at all about the way of Tao, even though I began wondering with Ra about how spirits from Egyptian spiritual systems worked with ka, as it’s called — which I found a strange coincidence, because it seems to me that most Westerners don’t know that chi is pronounced “ki”, in a very similar way.

Long story short, if you’re interested in influencing this energy, I can’t recommend meditation practices enough. I think purely Taoist practitioners might decide that when Ra appears as Horus, he can be like a chi master. I’m also pretty sure, based on experimenting with this spiritual system, that Thoth can also be like a chi master in some regards. Ra and Thoth have been good spirits to me over the years that I have worked with them, and tolerate me to learn about other spiritual systems outside of the Egyptian traditions.

One thing I that would have been nice to know going into this for myself was how electricity seems to effect chi. I noticed when I did an informal experiment in my own space where I unplugged every electrical device in the area and turned them off, I could feel how this effected the chi. My perception was that it was as though the electricity was stopping the flow of the chi in the area near the electrical device, until it was unplugged or I was away from its immediate vicinity.

Around the time I started trying these informal experiments, I began to wonder about the work of the Vril Society, when I learned the history of importing this idea into the West. It seems they’re still out there in some form, and I know it’s so controversial what’s going on with them in the field of ufology that’s another essay entirely.

I’m grateful that I live in a forest where this energy is abundant, flowing freely around the streets and numerous public parks, where it can be harnessed by spiritual practitioners who want to apply themselves to it. It took me several years to get there, to where I can feel my interactions with this energy mediated by spirit, though I’m glad that I took the time to do this. It’s been a very rewarding endeavor.

I know practicing Hindus believe that Shiva can also be a chi master, and I’m sure there are traditionally Western spirits that can also move this energy. I would tend to believe that Shiva or other traditionally Hindu spirits can do this also, like Thor and Odin and some other traditionally Western spirits.

For myself, in my long-term contacts with extraterrestrials, one among them who might be described as “Nordic-type” informed me telepathically in one contact that a truly scientific understanding of chi was not possible until there had been certain advancements in physics.

If you don’t have supportive family or friends, don’t give up, for people that have an experience of spirit. There are people out there that believe you. Meditation practices are a really great way to help get started, and I noticed there are even Norse meditations out there for people who want to engage with this energy in a Western spiritual context.

Addendum:

There are several fine Egyptian meditation tracks out there — I liked this one.
